Well… its time to baby proof the house. Dallin is crawling EVERYWHERE. He’s getting faster and faster everyday and loves to explore everything. He will crawl to the nearest thing that he can pull himself up on and cruise along anything he can find… couches, chairs, dressers, bare walls… nothing is safe anymore. He has always been a unique kid and doesn’t conform to the conventional crawling method. He prefers instead to walk like a bear cub on his feet and hands. I call it his “Mogli walk” from the jungle book. Or, he might use one knee and one foot and scoot around on it. His fastest method of getting around is by taking a toilet paper package and pushing it around. I’ll post videos soon.
Summer is in full swing and I can tell Dallin gets sick of being inside. Its been fun taking him places and doing more stuff with him.
For the 4th of July, we went to the freedom festival in Provo. At the festival, Dallin discovered God’s gift to human kind… the snow cone. Yes, the perfect combination of sugar and ice is like cat nip for babies. Dallin was good enough to share his snow cone with Jason. What a good kid. (notice the shell of the Provo Tabernacle in the background. It makes me so sad!)
Another one of Dallin’s summer favorites is heading to the pool. He is so relaxed in his floaty and splashes around in the water. It’s just like bath time only better.
He’s enjoyed going to parks and has become an avid fan of the swings. That was always my favorite part of the play ground too. Grandpa Brad is pushing cousin Caleb in the next swing over.
This picture doesn’t show his joy, but its just cute, so I had to add it. He looks like a grumpy old man.
I love being a mommy. I have so much fun with him. I am so grateful that Jason and I were married in the temple so that we can be an eternal family.
