Fun in a Box

Dallin would spend all day outside if he could. We often play outside on the swing set for an hour or two. He loves looking for rocks and twigs and all sorts of things. If Jason or I even mention the words run, outside, swing, playground, park or walk, he will badger us until we go outside and play. 

But with 100 plus heat, there is such a thing as too much “outside.” I have been scouring pinterest looking for fun things to keep him busy. We’ve water painted, made play doh, and experimented with mixing paint colors, but I would have to say his favorite thing right now is to play in a big refrigerator box Grandpa Murdock brought over for him. 

We cut up the sides to make windows. 

Decorated the inside with pictures (I helped a little)

He even almost fell asleep in it. I would say the box is a hit.
