Stars, Stripes, and Splashes

On the fourth of July, we made a day of it. Jason had the day off so we went to Kneaders with Grandma Jaynie for breakfast. Endless French toast… delish!

We then went to Scera Park in Orem where they had a colonial village. Pretty cool. They had everything from candle dipping to wood turning.

We were a little naughty so they put us in the pillory.

Jason thought he would try his hand at making a bucket.

Hed make a convincing cooper, no?

Dallin, go fetch some water boy!

Hark! Is that the handsome John Smith? Nope, it’s my hubby. =)

After the park, we had nap time at my mom’s house. We played games and played in the splash pool. Give Dallin some water and a measuring cup and he’s a happy kid.

In the evening, we sat with some neighbors and watched fireworks. A fun day in the sun. All through the day, this song was in my head from the musical 1776.  Happy Independence Day every one!
